Big Leap Immigration Support and Services’s Registered Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), Kristine Portus, studied immigration laws and procedures and holds a diploma in Immigration Consultancy from CDI College, where she graduated with distinct honors. She also holds a degree in Journalism. She is a member in good standing of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC), and a member of the Canada Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC). She is a licensed professional authorized to represent clients before the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB).

Our Process

    Initial Consultation

    An initial consultation is necessary for us to understand your unique situation. You will be asked to fill-out a client assessment form and your eligibility will then be assessed. There are a plethora of immigration programs and we will determine which of these best suits you. At this stage, you will be provided with all the information pertinent to each program as well as the processing timeframes for each. You are encouraged to ask questions and clarify any doubts. The forms of communication are through e-mail or over the phone.

    Retainer Agreement

    At this point, you have finally decided on the pathway to apply for and have trusted us to help you with that big leap. You will then be asked to sign a Retainer Agreement which details our Scope of Work as well as the Schedule of Fees.

    Ongoing Application

    After retaining our service, we will provide you with the strategic approach and directives. We will then furnish you with a detailed list of all the documents you need to provide. We will then organize your file, gather all information and documentation, draft all necessary letters and finally submit your application. We will keep you updated on the status of your application. We know how important this is for you and as such, we treat every case with utmost professionalism and transparency. We will follow-up and connect with the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on your behalf and we will keep you abreast of any development.

    Decision Made

    We will inform you right away if a decision has been made and you will be advised accordingly of the next steps.
