Atlantic Immigration Pilot

Do you see yourself living in the East, by the Atlantic provinces, enjoying the beauty of Prince Edward Islands, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or Newfoundland and Labrador?

Then the Atlantic Immigration Pilot might be the right pathway for you!

It is intended for skilled foreign workers and international graduates who want to work and live in one of the Atlantic provinces. This is an employer-driven program designed to help employers in Atlantic Canada hire qualified candidates for jobs they have been unable to fill locally.

To qualify for this program, you must be a recent graduate of a publicly funded institution in Atlantic Canada or a skilled worker who meets the program requirements. You can either be living abroad or already in Canada temporarily.

There are 3 programs in the pilot: Atlantic International Graduate Program, Atlantic High-Skilled Program and Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program. There are certain criteria for each program.

To apply:

  1. You must meet all language, education and work requirements. Proof of funds is also required. You may qualify for more than 1 program, but you can only apply through 1.
  2. You then wait for a job offer as it is essential to participate in the program.
  3. You then gather all documents.
  4. Prepare your settlement plan.
  5. Get your endorsement certificate
  6. Submit your application for permanent residence.
