Provincial Nomination Programs

You can choose to apply to the Provincial Nomination Programs (PNP) by doing a paper-based application.

The Process

  1. You must decide where you want to live in Canada and apply to that province or territory for a nomination. Your application will be assessed based on the province or territory’s immigration needs and your intent to really live there.
  2. The province or territory will nominate you.
  3. You apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence.

Eligibility
To apply as a provincial nominee, you must:

  • Meet the minimum requirements of one of the province or territory’s non-Express Entry streams
  • Be nominated under that stream

Each province or territory is different and it is best to learn which one is the right fit for you.
